I want to work on creating my own font but I haven’t had the time yet. Anyone have any experience with that, or some tips for programs to use?

I forgot to add a layer as I was drawing this image so the original blue pencils were stuck on the background. Decided to leave them be and enjoy the loose style for this one. I catch myself asking these kinds of questions, especially as I get older.

Scandalous.

Pleased with how this turned out. I did a couple of versions of this cartoon before wrestling it into its present form. In my experience it is getting more and more difficult to find people who have any kind of independent vision. It doesn’t help that our choices for “leadership” are so limited or that the system is so skewed that only those with vast economic resources and a willingness to play the game can legitimately participate. Sorry. I have to fight to keep my Cynical Shades in the drawer.
Something else for today
I’m really enjoying using this Monoprice tablet. I feel like I’m painting and/or using colored pencils or pastels… Â Drew this and then matched it up with a wonderful quote from Mr. Wendell Berry’s poem.

This is my first attempt at using my new drawing tablet. I have a lot to learn and a lot of practicing to do…but I love it!

Rest in peace Mr. Nelson.

Hello, again. Sorry for the lengthy absence. I got out of the cartoon rhythm and had a difficult time relocating the groove. Also, I’m transitioning to a digital drawing tablet and need to make some computer upgrades to facilitate that new reality. Hope to be up and operational with that within a couple weeks.
The above cartoon came as a result of finishing Norris’s book, Amazing Grace, which I recommend if you are spiritually minded. This is an actual quote about her husband that amused me. I’ve come to “see” the line between logic and mystery as a beautiful, blurry mess. To me, this is essential for mature belief.
