I took yesterday’s creation and repurposed it into a landscape…

Enjoyed creating this while watching episode 3 of Ted Lasso season 2 last night. (And an old installment of House.) Have a color-full Thursday…

In memory of Raymond LeRoy Schmidt. May Love surround us all.

One summer my mom made me and my younger brother participate in a community theater production. I was…11? I recall being extremely reluctant, certain that I would not enjoy the experience.
But I did! There were songs to learn, choreography to master, lines to memorize. Truthfully, I was a bit of a ham and though inwardly shy I liked being the center of attention.
What was the production? I’m not positive but I think it was Oklahoma! I have no idea what my role was. But I remain thankful that mom mandated the experience.

I remember when our youngest was about 9 or 10, observing his sometimes surly older siblings. He came to us and said, with true empathy in his voice, “I want to apologize in advance for when I’m a moody teenager.”

I think kids start to get tired of this ritual around 4th grade. That’s my memory of when the eye rolls and dramatic sighing began. Good luck parents!

The wife has really taken to dog training—she’s brilliant at it: patient, firm, loving. Coincidentally, these are the same qualities she’s employed to train me.

Relaxing last night after a long road trip, re-watched Grumpy Old Men (holds up well), and created this:

Later, I took it, chopped it up and made something similar but different. I can’t decide which I’m more drawn to.

Part 2 of 3. Sunday morning cartoon…

He’s the mellowest dog until it’s package deliver time…
