What kind of sandals would Big J wear today? Rainbows?

Here’s another one from the New Yorker remainder bin. Dads cannot hear nor answer questions when they are clining.

Had an idea to try to capture the “lost beatitudes” of Jesus. You know, the ones that Matthew wasn’t there to write down. Stay tuned for more!

This is the one I thought had slipped by the gate keepers and maybe had a chance at publication with The New Yorker. Turns out I just missed the “decline” email in my inbox. Oh well, I’m still really happy with the idea and the drawing here.

Here’s another June submission to The New Yorker from which they quickly divorced themselves.

I think this one was also submitted in June. Not the best. But you just get an idea, draw it out and see what happens. Rinse and repeat. I haven’t submitted new cartoons in several weeks…need to get on that.

Many years ago I learned how to engage in reflective listening with people. So helpful.
