Here’s the final cartoon in the series. Writing these came pretty naturally and limiting them to one panel meant the drawing wasn’t very time-consuming. Stretching them out to multiple panels might be a good idea but would be too labor-intensive. We’ll see this little guy again, for sure. Maybe he’ll even get a name…

Our story continues and finds our hero embodying a common social media persona: Spam Follower. These folks “follow” you in an attempt to inflate their numbers (and, no doubt, their ego) but, if you do not reciprocate, they drop you like a very warm potato. I’ve noticed it the most with Instagram but it’s prevalent across all platforms.
This is the third cartoon in a series whose length is still-to-be-determined. I know there’s a lot of Calvin & Hobbes influence here…maybe I’m drawn (pun not intended, for once) to this style and humor because I miss Watterson’s work so much. Imitation is the highest form of flattery…
No one can accuse him of lack of confidence.
For the next few cartoons I’m going to attempt a storyline. You’ve may have noticed that this little brown-haired boy keeps showing up. I’m going to try to develop him a bit–he’s interesting to me and hopefully to you, too. Thanks for the support!

Here’s another old one, back from the black and white days, and “pre-ear.” I’m still mystified as to who gets to determine when “awareness” days are scheduled and the topic for these days–or months. I pretty sure you or I could log on to Facebook and, if we had enough followers, could arbitrarily declare today to be “National Beef Jerky Day” and it would go viral.
There’s nothing quite like experiencing a face full of playground ball.
