Sunday evening pastels…a rainbow of people.
Saturday night reflecting…
I took yesterday’s creation and repurposed it into a landscape…
In memory of Raymond LeRoy Schmidt. May Love surround us all.
One summer my mom made me and my younger brother participate in a community theater production. I was…11? I recall being extremely reluctant, certain that I would not enjoy the experience.
But I did! There were songs to learn, choreography to master, lines to memorize. Truthfully, I was a bit of a ham and though inwardly shy I liked being the center of attention.
What was the production? I’m not positive but I think it was Oklahoma! I have no idea what my role was. But I remain thankful that mom mandated the experience.
“Although I deeply love oceans, deserts and other wild landscapes, it is only mountains that beckon me with that sort of painful magnetic pull to walk deeper and deeper into their beauty. They keep me continuously wanting to know more, feel more, see more.”
