Reading about President Trump’s intrepid excursion to St. John’s Church earlier this week, and seeing some accompanying images and videos, prompted my brain to pull up an old Far Side cartoon, Washington crossing the street.

I decided to pay tribute to the master, Gary Larsen, and put my own spin on his cartoon, inspired by POTUS’s recent outing. The resulting comic is below.
