Modern technology/communication has both spoiled us and foiled us. The use of emoticons reminds me a little bit of the local restaurant Chotchkie’s use of “flair” in the movie Office Space. 🙂

Just saying…

A couple of months ago I was at the movies with a friend. The preview for Divergent came on. When it was over I turned and asked him the question you see above. He agreed. I repeated the question to my Divergent and Hunger Games loving wife and daughter and their response was pretty much what you see. I know, I’m out of my element…but I’m not the only one who thinks this.

My present vocation is very meaningful, but my favorite job was working as a Page at the large, main public library for two summers during college. I love being surrounded by books. Libraries are still special places for me.

I’ll be on the couch all weekend if you need me. Cheers!

I have, however, at a recent elementary school talent show, heard the songs from Frozen sung several times over. I think I’m good.
