Some sports fans are very highly animated, and sometimes a bit violent. Watching sports at my cousins house as a kid was itself an impact sport.

I think we bring our personalities into our sports viewing: if we’re loud and obnoxious generally, it’s going to translate over; if we’re laid back and quiet… But sports has a way of tapping into our ID, even for the most mellow of observers.

You know the first time my now ex-husband every saw me me get passionate about a sporting event was a baseball game. I jumped up and started yelling at the same time as half the stadium, yet he thought I was nuts. What can I say? Football fans. Pfffffft. I should have known better!

What makes one fan cheer, makes another fan jeer. I like both sports but I also prefer baseball.
