Anchoring creation, one’s self and one’s theology in the goodness of Genesis 1 rather than the negative of Genesis 3 sure makes a difference.

Yes! Have you read Matthew Fox? My spiritual director has been a renegade, married, Catholic priest, who has written to me of Saint Augustine’s original sin notion versus Original blessing. Maybe it’s not so much about updating as getting back to the original message. If you are on Facebook and would like to, please join my group L.A.M.P. (Literature, Art, Music, Play ). We host weekly zoom events to share creative ventures and games, and it would be wonderful if you came and talked about your cartoons:

I have not read Matthew Fox, but it sounds like he has similar wisdom. You’re right these are not old ideas, they predate the Reformation and its unfortunate highlighting of sin over goodness. I am on FB and would be happy to join your group. However, I’m not sure how much time I would have to participate in Zoom calls. We’ll see… 🙂
