It’s not even the parents who are necessarily the problem. Just today, my daughter was doing some “slightly risky” play at the park – I knew she was fine, but other parents took it upon themselves to decide that what she was doing wasn’t “safe”. Even if you want to give your kids some freedom, it can be a challenge. (we let her do it anyway when they weren’t around…)
